Technical Project Manager, SAP and Enterprise Applications

We are hiring a project manager to run SAP and enterprise application projects for our clients, from S/4HANA migrations and rollouts to integration and data projects. You will lead mixed teams of our consultants, client staff and other vendors, and you will be the person the client sponsor relies on for an honest picture of where the project stands.

Projects typically run six to eighteen months with teams of eight to thirty people. You do not need to configure SAP, but you need to understand an SAP project well enough to know when a data, testing or cutover problem will move the go-live date.

• Plan and run SAP projects using SAP Activate and hybrid agile methods: scope, schedule, budget, resourcing and governance
• Build and maintain the integrated project plan across functional, technical, data, testing and change management workstreams
• Run weekly status meetings and monthly steering committees, and report progress, risks and decisions in writing
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, and escalate early when the plan is at risk
• Control scope through a documented change request process, with cost and schedule impacts agreed before work starts
• Plan mock conversions, cutover rehearsals and the production cutover with go and no-go criteria
• Coordinate testing cycles (integration, regression and user acceptance) and track defects to closure
• Manage project financials: budget, forecast, consultant time and invoicing milestones
• Coordinate third-party vendors, SAP and hyperscalers on RISE with SAP projects
• Lead the handover to support at the end of hypercare and run lessons-learned reviews

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
• 5 years of experience managing IT projects, including at least two SAP implementation, migration or rollout projects through go-live
• Experience planning and running cutover for an ERP go-live
• Experience managing project budgets and reporting to executive sponsors
• Working knowledge of SAP Activate or a comparable delivery methodology
• Proficiency with Jira, MS Project or similar planning tools

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field

5 years managing IT projects, including at least two SAP projects through go-live

• PMP, PRINCE2 or SAP Activate Project Manager certification
• ECC to S/4HANA migration experience
• Experience with RISE with SAP or S/4HANA Cloud projects
• Experience managing offshore or distributed teams
• Background as an SAP functional consultant
