SAP SuccessFactors and HCM

HR systems hold the data people care about most: their pay, their role and their next step. We implement SAP SuccessFactors, support SAP HCM, and plan the move between them as on-premise HCM support winds down.

The HCM decision ahead

SAP ERP HCM follows the Business Suite 7 timeline, with mainstream maintenance ending in 2027 and extended maintenance available to the end of 2030. Customers have three broad routes: move core HR and payroll to SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll, which is where SAP is investing; keep an on-premise HR system alongside S/4HANA where that option is available to them; or run a hybrid with talent modules in the cloud and payroll on-premise for a while longer.

Payroll is usually the deciding factor. It carries country rules, union agreements and years of custom schemas and rules. We assess payroll first and let that shape the roadmap.
