ABAP, RAP and clean core development
Custom code is where most of an SAP system's upgrade risk lives. We write new ABAP the clean way, remediate old code for S/4HANA, and reduce the custom footprint you carry from release to release.
Clean core, level by level
In 2025 SAP replaced its earlier three-tier extensibility model with four clean core levels. Level A uses only released, stable APIs, either in ABAP Cloud or side by side on BTP. Level B adds classic APIs that are documented and generally upgrade-stable. Level C touches internal SAP objects, which works but needs watching at each upgrade. Level D covers modifications, direct writes to SAP tables and implicit enhancements, and is where technical debt accumulates.
Few companies can be all Level A overnight. The practical goal is that new code starts at A or B, and the C and D code you already have shrinks every year. We set up the ATC checks that make that measurable.

- Business objects, behaviour definitions and OData V4 services with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model, on-stack or in the BTP ABAP environment.
- CDS and AMDP
- Virtual data models, analytical queries and code pushdown to HANA for reports that used to take hours.
- Interfaces
- IDocs, BAPIs, RFC-enabled function modules, SOAP and REST services, proxies and AIF monitoring.
